BIP-68

Relative lock-time using consensus-enforced sequence numbers.

In use

Lets a payment be held back until a set number of blocks or amount of time after the coins it spends were confirmed.

Each input of a payment has a 'sequence number' that was never properly used. This BIP gives it a new meaning: a waiting period, counted from when the coins being spent were confirmed. Among other things, this makes two-way payment channels possible.
