Read what pending means on PayPal and Venmo Find the transaction hash in PayPal or Venmo
Both apps call the transaction ID a transaction hash. Venmo puts it in the transfer's confirmation email; PayPal shows it in the transfer's details under Activity once the transfer is complete.
Before you act
- Copy the full 64-character hash, not a PayPal or Venmo reference number.
- No hash yet means the payment may not be on the network, and PayPal may still be checking it.
- A payment to another PayPal or Venmo user stays inside PayPal and never gets a hash.
