KuCoin Pool.

The mining pool of the KuCoin exchange, which ran from August 2021 until KuCoin halted it on 15 August 2023.

About KuCoin Pool

KuCoin Pool was the mining poolMining poolA group of miners who share the work of finding blocks and split the rewards, so each gets paid steadily instead of rarely. of KuCoin, a cryptocurrency exchange. KuCoin opened it on 25 August 2021 for Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, and it also mined Litecoin. Miners signed in with a KuCoin account, and each day’s earnings were credited to them the next day. Its first Bitcoin block came on 20 September 2021.

Each KuCoin Pool block paid its whole reward to one of the pool’s own addresses, and the pool paid its miners from there. That reward is separate from the transactions confirmed inside the block. A block found by KuCoin Pool doesn’t mean the transactions in it went through KuCoin.

The pool was busiest just before it stopped: it found 56 blocks in July 2023, and when KuCoin announced the end, the tracking site MiningPoolStats ranked it eighth among Bitcoin pools, The Block reported. On 2 August 2023 KuCoin said that, “in line with KuCoin’s evolving business strategy”, it would halt the pool from 15 August “until further notice”, and asked miners to move to other pools. Its last block came on 13 August 2023. In October 2025 KuCoin opened a new pool, KuPool, starting with Dogecoin and Litecoin and saying Bitcoin would follow.

What this means for your payment

When a block containing your payment joins the Bitcoin blockchain, your payment gets its first confirmation. Later blocks add confirmations, whichever pool finds them. The pool name does not identify the sender or recipient of your payment.

Sources and how to read the data

Background comes from the sources below. Activity comes from the mempool-compatible API used by UTXOHub. Pool names are attributed using block tags and known reward addresses; they are not proof of an individual miner’s identity and may be incomplete or incorrect.
