About SecretSuperstar
SecretSuperstar is the name written into 303 Bitcoin blocks, found between 24 July 2018 and 31 January 2019. Little else is known: it had no website, and no company, person or announcement behind it has been found. The list of pool names that mempool.space uses has included it since October 2018, with no website.
Most of its blocks came from August to October 2018; in October, its busiest month, it found about one block in 40. Each block’s first transaction paid the whole reward to one address, and almost all went to the same address. That reward is separate from the transactions confirmed inside the block. Whether SecretSuperstar was a pool that shared its rewards with other miners, or a single miner, isn’t known. It found no blocks under the name after 31 January 2019, and no reason has been found.
