WhitePool.

WhitePool is the Bitcoin mining pool of WhiteBIT, a cryptocurrency exchange founded in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in 2018. Blocks carried its name for nearly nine months before WhiteBIT announced the pool in August 2024.

About WhitePool

WhitePool’s owner, WhiteBIT, was started in 2018 by Volodymyr Nosov in his home city of Kharkiv, in north-eastern Ukraine, and he still runs it. WhiteBIT is now based in Vilnius, Lithuania, and is part of W Group, of which Nosov is president. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, WhiteBIT says, it has given more than $11 million to support Ukraine’s army and civilians, and it has shut out customers in Russia. In January 2026 Russia’s prosecutors, citing that support, declared WhiteBIT and W Group “undesirable organizations”.

The first block to carry the WhitePool name, 817,434, was found on 19 November 2023, and mempool.space, a block explorer, added the pool to its list in March 2024. WhiteBIT announced WhitePool on 8 August 2024 as its own mining poolMining poolA group of miners who share the work of finding blocks and split the rewards, so each gets paid steadily instead of rarely., for professional miners, but hasn’t said who mined through it before then. Its busiest day came two months after the launch: on 8 October 2024 it found six blocks, a record WhiteBIT celebrated in its anniversary release that November. Its share has shrunk since: over the past year it found about one Bitcoin block in 250.

WhitePool mines only Bitcoin and pays its miners by full pay per share, or FPPS: a set amount for each piece of work they send, whether or not the pool finds a block. It pays them once a day, into their WhiteBIT accounts or to a Bitcoin address they choose. So each WhitePool block’s first transaction pays the block rewardBlock rewardWhat a block's miner earns: new bitcoin from the subsidy, plus the fees of every transaction in the block. to the pool, not to its miners, and that reward is separate from the transactions the block confirms.

WhiteBIT runs the exchange as well as the pool, but a block found by WhitePool doesn’t mean the transactions in it went through WhiteBIT.

Block share counts what this pool found, including chance variation. Mining power, or hashrate, estimates how much computing work its miners do each second. The two figures cover different periods. One EH/s means a billion billion attempts each second.

What this means for your payment

When a block containing your payment joins the Bitcoin blockchain, your payment gets its first confirmation. Later blocks add confirmations, whichever pool finds them. The pool name does not identify the sender or recipient of your payment.

Sources and how to read the data

Background comes from the sources below. Activity comes from the mempool-compatible API used by UTXOHub. Pool names are attributed using block tags and known reward addresses; they are not proof of an individual miner’s identity and may be incomplete or incorrect.
