Redefine Bitcoin's Base Unit.

Would make 'one bitcoin' mean the smallest unit, so amounts become whole numbers and today's 1 BTC equals 100 million bitcoins.

Bitcoin's ledger counts whole units; the eight decimal places are a display habit. This proposal would call each smallest unit 'a bitcoin' and drop the name 'satoshi', while 'BTC' keeps its current meaning. Apps should let people switch between the old and new displays. The coins themselves would not change.
