BIP-353

DNS Payment Instructions.

Finished

Lets people use an email-style name such as ₿alice@example.com that wallets look up to find where to send a payment.

Long addresses are hard to read out or check. This BIP stores a bitcoin: payment link in the internet's domain name system, signed with DNSSEC so wallets can check it is genuine. Wallets should still prefer a plain address when one is available, and names that give out on-chain addresses should change them often to avoid reuse.
