Bitcoins stolen in the Linode break-in
An intruder used a customer-service portal at Linode, a web host, to get into the accounts of eight of its customers, all connected with bitcoin, and moved bitcoins out of their servers. The losses included 3,094 BTC waiting to be paid out by Marek Palatinus's mining pool, which he covered from his own money; more than 10,000 from the trading site Bitcoinica, by its own count; and the few coins in Gavin Andresen's Bitcoin Faucet.
