Tulip Trading's claim against Bitcoin's developers is sent to trial
England's Court of Appeal let Tulip Trading, a company associated with Craig Wright, take its claim against Bitcoin's developers, among them Mara van der Laan, Pieter Wuille and Gregory Maxwell, to trial. Tulip argued that they owed it a duty to help recover bitcoin whose keys, it said, had been lost in a hack; the court found only that this raised "a serious issue to be tried". Tulip discontinued the claim on 16 April 2024, a month after the High Court ruled that Wright is not Satoshi.
