Terra's UST stablecoin collapses, 2022
2 years ago. TerraUSD (UST), a stablecoin meant to stay worth $1, lost its peg and collapsed within days, and its sister token LUNA fell to almost zero. UST relied on an algorithm linked to LUNA to hold its value, rather than reserves of cash or bonds.
