IMF approves El Salvador's $1.4 billion loan
The IMF's Executive Board approved El Salvador's 40-month loan of about $1.4 billion. Its terms included making acceptance of bitcoin voluntary, limiting the government's bitcoin dealings and purchases, and barring public debt denominated in or tied to bitcoin.
