Check a Bitcoin payment, step by step
Find the payment, check the details, and understand its status.
1. Get the transaction ID
Open the sending wallet’s payment history and copy the full transaction ID. If you are receiving, ask the sender for it. Paste it into UTXOHub’s payment search. The ID identifies the transaction; it is not the same as a receiving address or an exchange order number.
Open payment search2. Match the address and amount
Find the output with your receiving address and compare the full address and bitcoin amount. A transaction may have several outputs, including change. The total of all outputs is not necessarily what you received. UTXOHub lists those outputs without guessing who owns them.
3. Read the status
Waiting means our provider has seen the transaction but it has not confirmed. It has zero confirmations and is not final. Confirmed means it is in a block. Check the recipient’s required confirmation count. If an exchange still has not credited a confirmed deposit, check its deposit policy and contact that exchange through its official app or website.
Paid for goods? When to hand them overIf the details don’t match
Ask the sender to check the transaction in their wallet. Follow any replacement to its new ID and compare its outputs again. If the explorer reports a data problem, try again later. A missing result is not proof that the payment was cancelled or that funds are lost.
