What is a transaction ID?
A 64-character code that identifies one Bitcoin payment, so anyone can look it up.
Not to be confused with: an addressAddressA string of letters and numbers that tells someone where to send you bitcoin, a bit like an account number for one payment..
Every payment has an ID, also called a txid or hash, worked out from the payment's own data. Your wallet or exchange shows it once you've sent.
