Speed up a Bitcoin transaction in Trezor Suite
For a pending Bitcoin payment you sent, use Suite’s Speed up option to review a higher fee and approve a replacement on your Trezor.
Desktop and web instructions, checked against Trezor’s documentation and Suite v26.9.3 source. Mobile screens may differ.
Check that this is your outgoing payment
These steps use replace by fee: the sender makes a replacement transaction with a higher fee. You need the sending wallet and your Trezor to approve it. An incoming payment needs the sender’s help with this method. A payment already confirmed in a block cannot be changed this way.
Find the transaction ID first1. Find the pending payment
Open the Bitcoin account’s transaction list in Suite. Find the outgoing payment and select Speed up. Check that it is the payment you intend to replace.
2. Review the new fee
Choose a higher fee from the Standard options, or use Advanced if you understand the fee rate. Check the proposed total fee and every recipient’s address and amount. Current network estimates can help you compare, but they cannot guarantee a confirmation time.
- The receiving address matches the original payment request.
- The recipient’s bitcoin amount is still what you intend to send.
- You have checked the new total fee, not just the amount of the increase.
3. Approve the replacement
Select Replace transaction in Suite. Follow the prompts on your Trezor and review the details on its screen before approving. Wait for Suite to report that it has sent the replacement. A sent transaction still needs to be included in a Bitcoin block.
4. Follow the new transaction ID
Open the replacement’s details and copy its new TX ID. Check that ID in UTXOHub and compare the receiving address and amount again. Give the recipient the new ID if they are following the old one. The replacement still needs to confirm.
- Previous ID

- New ID

- Still to check
- ConfirmationsWait for inclusion in a block and the recipient’s required count.
The original payment may confirm before a replacement. Use Suite’s own Speed up flow; never import keys into an online recovery service.
