FTX halts withdrawals and files for bankruptcy
The crypto exchange FTX paused all customer withdrawals on 8 November and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware on 11 November. Chapter 11 is the US process that shields a company from creditors while it reorganises or sells its assets.

10 years ago. At block 210,000 the reward for mining a block fell from 50 to 25 bitcoin, the first halving. The software halves the reward every 210,000 blocks, roughly every four years.
