Why is my bitcoin withdrawal pending on Binance?
A bitcoin withdrawal on Binance says Processing until Binance sends it, which it says usually takes 1 to 30 minutes. Once it has a TxID, you can look it up and see whether it has confirmed.
Checked against Binance’s own help pages on 30 October 2026, not in the app itself. Not about Binance.US, which has its own help pages. Screens, holds and fees can change.
What Processing and Completed mean on Binance
Binance’s help pages give a crypto withdrawal two statuses. Processing means Binance hasn’t finished sending it. Completed means Binance has sent it to the Bitcoin network and given it a TxID, Binance’s name for a transaction ID. Completed doesn’t mean confirmed: Binance says the payment can still be waiting for a block, so look the TxID up to see where it is.
- Processing
- Not sent yetBinance hasn’t sent it. A TxID usually appears within 1 to 30 minutes.
- Completed
- On the Bitcoin networkSent, with a TxID. It may still be waiting for a block. Look it up.
- TxID: Internal
- Not on the blockchainA transfer to another Binance account. It has no TxID and arrives at once.
If it has a TxID, look it up
On the Binance website, open Wallet, then Overview, then Transaction History: the TxID column has it. In the Binance app, go to Assets, then Spot, then Transaction History, and tap the withdrawal. Paste the TxID into UTXOHub’s search. The payment’s page says whether it is waiting for a block or confirmed and, if it is waiting, roughly when it will probably confirm. Once it is confirmed, Binance says the bitcoin has left it, and the wallet or exchange that received it is the one to ask.
- Binance says that if no TxID appears 6 hours after you confirmed the withdrawal, you should contact Binance Support with a screenshot of your withdrawal history.
- Check the network. Only BTC and BTC (SegWit) send on the Bitcoin network. Bitcoin sent on any other network Binance lists isn’t on the Bitcoin blockchain, so no Bitcoin block explorer can show it.
- If the TxID says Internal, the bitcoin went to another Binance account without touching the blockchain. Binance support can trace it with the internal transfer ID.
If Binance won’t send your bitcoin yet
Binance pauses an account’s withdrawals for 24 to 48 hours after some security changes, such as a new password, and says the pause can’t be lifted early. It also stops withdrawals it thinks may be at risk: a message saying you can try again in 24 hours means the withdrawal is under review, and Binance emails you about it. Some withdrawals get anti-scam questions or a waiting period first. In each case nothing is on the Bitcoin network yet, so no block explorer can show it, and only Binance can release it.
- Binance can also pause withdrawals of a coin for everyone, for wallet maintenance or a network upgrade. The withdrawal page then shows the reason and an estimated time, and Set Reminder tells you when it reopens.
- On 30 October 2026, The National reported that Binance had paused deposits and withdrawals while its security teams investigated a theft. Binance’s announcements and its withdrawal page give the current state.
If bitcoin sent to Binance isn’t showing up
Binance says a bitcoin deposit needs at least two confirmations before it is unlocked in your account. Ask the sender for the transaction ID and look it up: with fewer than two confirmations, it is still on its way. If it has two or more and still isn’t credited, check that it went to your Binance deposit address on the Bitcoin network, and that it was above the minimum deposit on Binance’s deposit page; Binance doesn’t credit a deposit below it.
- For a deposit that is confirmed on the blockchain and still missing after an hour, Binance has a self-service recovery form. It asks for the TxID, and Binance says it reviews a deposit that wasn’t credited in about 5 working days, at no fee.
- While a deposit waits for its confirmations, Binance says other parts of your account, such as withdrawals, can be held up too.
Cancelling or speeding up a withdrawal
Binance’s help pages describe no way to cancel a crypto withdrawal. Binance says it starts the withdrawal as soon as you submit it, and that it can’t get back bitcoin sent to a wrong address. The fee is a network fee that Binance sets from what the network costs at the time and shows on the withdrawal page; its pages describe no way to raise it afterwards, so a sent withdrawal waits for a block like any other payment.
Fake Binance support
Delays bring out people offering to speed up or recover a withdrawal. Binance says it will never ask for funds or tokens in private messages, and its Binance Verify page checks whether a website, email address, phone number or social media account really belongs to Binance. Never share a 2FA code or your recovery words, and contact Binance only through its app or website.
UTXOHub isn’t part of Binance and can’t see your account or move your bitcoin.
