Cash App on a phone

Where is my bitcoin address on Cash App?

Tap the Money tab, then the Bitcoin tile, then Deposit bitcoin, and copy the address. It changes after every deposit, so copy a fresh one each time.

Checked against Cash App’s own help pages, disclosures and terms on 22 October 2026, not in the app itself. Its screens, speeds and limits can change.

1. Open Deposit bitcoin

Tap the Money tab on your Cash App home screen, then the Bitcoin tile, then Deposit bitcoin. Cash App’s help says bitcoin deposits and withdrawals must be turned on in the app before you can deposit.

2. Copy the address

Copy the address, or show the sender its QR code, rather than typing it out. Cash App’s help says its deposit addresses start with bc1. After you paste it, compare the whole address with the one in the app, not just its first and last few characters: a lookalike address can match at both ends.

Which one do you give the sender?Made-up examples. For bitcoin sent from another wallet or an exchange, give the bitcoin address.
Bitcoin address
bc1qkjtr0w0qgrvvnxvf8duq8hfk7rrffayxw4xtm6For bitcoin from another wallet or an exchange. Starts with bc1.
Lightning address
yourcashtag@cash.appOnly for payments over Lightning. Cash App puts them in your bitcoin balance.
$Cashtag
$yourcashtagNot for bitcoin. Cash App stopped bitcoin payments between $cashtags on 20 December 2024.

It changes after every deposit

Cash App’s help says your address changes after each successful deposit, and to check for the most recent one before every transfer. A new address for each payment keeps your history more private, which is the reason Cash App gives. It doesn’t say whether an older address still works, so give the sender a fresh one every time.

Can I reuse a Bitcoin address?

Only bitcoin (BTC) can go to it

Cash App accepts only bitcoin. It says other coins sent to a Cash App address, including Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin SV (BSV), are lost. If you’re moving bitcoin from an exchange, choose the Bitcoin network when you withdraw. Cash App also limits deposits to $10,000 worth of bitcoin in any 7-day period.

Check a deposit with your address

Paste the address into UTXOHub to see the payments sent to it and whether each one is waiting or confirmed, even without a transaction ID. If a payment has confirmed but isn’t in your Cash App balance yet, the wait is on Cash App’s side: contact its support with the transaction ID. Payments to an address are public, so share it only with the person paying you.

Your address lets people pay you, and anyone who has it can see the payments made to it. Sharing it never needs your sign-in code, PIN or recovery words.
